What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?
Instructor Maren Waldman, MFA, has a lifetime of training in dance and decades of teaching experience. She is an expert at beginning dance instruction, having worked with hundreds of beginners in dance forms including modern, jazz, tap, swing, salsa, line-dancing, two-step, waltz, and foxtrot.

What's one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans?
Come to class with an open mind, playful spirit, and willingness to learn. Wear comfortable shoes and something that makes you feel beautiful and handsome. You'll be swing dancing by the end of the first lesson.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?
Movement is life. Dancing brings me freedom, joy, empowerment, and escape from worry. I love sharing my knowledge of the body with others, especially those with fear. Dance is a holistic way to bring wellness, to have fun, to grow individually, and to join community. We desperately need all of this.

What do you love most about your job?
I love welcoming people into the dance world for the first time. I love witnessing moments of learning when something clicks. I love teaching about the moving body in a safe, supportive way so that students succeed and move toward joy.
