Corcoran's Tavern & Grill, Boynton Beach

When the owner of Corcoran's Tavern & Grill was a lad, he spent summers on his grandparent's farm in Ireland and at his Scottish grandmother's home. The son of a Scottish father and Irish mother experienced a lot of love growing up, and he wanted others to experience the same Celtic warmth, so he opened up Corcoran's Tavern & Grill in the heart of Florida.

The tavern and grill serves up authentic food from the Celtic region of the British Isles—food that is prepared fresh daily from scratch and often made using recipes from his mother and his Irish grandmother, Nana Bog. The chefs even bake up Nana Bog's fresh, fragrant Irish soda bread onsite every day, which transports the owner back home to the fields of Kerry and his Nana Bog's farm. Besides cooking up Celtic comfort food, such as shepherd's pie and bangers and mash, the chefs honor America’s dishes by cooking up meatloaf, reuben sandwiches, and chicken fingers fitted with the traditional mini George Washington wigs.

Families gather around high-top tables made from old wooden barrels to enjoy their meals, which unfold in a warm dining area featuring hardwood floors and gray stone pillars. While they dine, guests can enjoy traditional music or gather around more than 15 flatscreen TVs and a large, fully stocked bar.
