About Breckenridge Food and Wine Festival

Wine just tastes better when enjoyed against a backdrop of mountains and pine trees. At least that seems to be the case at Breckenridge Food and Wine Festival—but then again, it might be that the event just has a lot of good wine.

Set at the plaza of Main Street Station and the Village at Breckenridge, the festival gathers a sparkling array of hundreds of varietals in one place at the base of Peak Nine. Some tickle the palate with sweet flavors and tart tanginess; others fill the senses with bold aromas of oak, tobacco, and juicy fruits. All, however, have been matched with small à la carte dishes to enhance their character and keep bellies full as guests mingle among live music and mountainous scenery.

This is our second year attending the Breckenridge Food and Wine Festival. It is a really fun, interesting afternoon out. I do recommend scouting out the wines you are most interested in and sticking only to those, otherwise it can get overwhelming. I'm also a little sad that for a "Food and Wine" festival, there is surprisingly little food there. I wish there was a greater food attendance to go with all the amazing wines.

the music was great. Very upbeat and had the crowd entertained. The wine glasses were cute, but maybe they should be made out of silicone instead of glass. A few people broke them later on in the evening.

Great setting for sipping some wonderful wines while nibbling on some tasty food. The silent auction and raffle were an added bonus. Lots of fun!

Location in Breck is perfect. Variety of vendors was top-notch. We felt the $45 price was a value. The silent auction was fun (and we took home some nice additions for our vacation). One thing we would have liked was for the vendors to have boards with their offerings on them, so guests could stand back and decide instead of having to be close enough to see the bottles.
