In 1974, businessman Joseph Yesutis made a bold business decision combining Lindy’s Chili & Gerties Ice Cream. While the companies seem polar opposite on paper, business wise it worked. The pairing combated seasonal factors that typically influenced the sales of chili in the summer and ice cream in the winter, allowing Lindy’s Chili & Gertie’s Ice Cream to thrive throughout the year. Today, the homey diner serves up their classic zesty chili and cool ice cream for a uniquely satisfying experience.

  • Chili Tamale Extravaganza: includes two steamed tamales covered with Lindy’s chili and topped with shredded cheese

Services by the wait staff is outstanding, but the kitchen is hit or miss. Ordered their hot dog dream meal. Hot dog was ice cold. Waitress did her best to apologize and get me a new hot dog. Heard her tell the kitchen to make sure it was hot. Replacement hot dog came straight out of the deep fryer. So oily and gross that we left the meal sitting on the table.
