What services does your business offer and what makes your business stand out from the competition?

As a performer and belly dance instructor in the New York City area and beyond, Oshun has helped many women use belly dance to revive their lives and develop dance technique for the "stage". She uses her knowledge as a Holistic Health practitioner to develop classes that empower women.

What's one tip for first-time students that will make them feel like veterans?

The breath is so important in movement and in life. Remember to breathe between each movement to help focus and relax the muscles so that you become more flexible and fluid in your movements. Belly dance is a form of self-expression that is greatly enhanced when you are in tune with your body.

What was the inspiration to start or run this business?

Oshun's Belly Dance Arts Temple was inspired by my love of performing and how dance helps people connect back to their body. I have taught many women how to use this art form as a way of self-empowerment helping them gain a healthy body image and freedom in life.

What do you love most about your job?

I love when my customers are happy and pleased with my services as a performing artist/entertainer and instructor.
