About South Padre Island Watersports

South Padre Island Watersports started in 2003, as a school dedicated to kiteboarding—a sport much like wakeboarding, except without the boat. Instead, the boarder gets pulled by a kite, powered by the breeze. At South Padre, this all takes place on the pristine Laguna Madre Bay.

The school has expanded since it was initially founded, too, to encompass gear rentals and myriad water sports. The shop's rental gear now spans sports from kayaking to stand-up paddleboarding, and its team of certified instructors teach lessons in a variety of aquatic sports, too.

We had to Lift ourselves up for the kayak at the end. No one was there to help us.

after one hour of training we were tired so we couldnt use the next two hours. It was like we paid 84$ for training for two people. (a bit expensive) The training was great though. If we had the chance to use our next two hours in other days that would be great!
