Beneath a canopy of blue sky, Windmill Ranch offers activities and adventure for the entire family. The main draw is the guided horseback rides, which wind through a 10,000-acre pinewood forest, and offer chances to spot wildlife such as elk, porcupines, and bobcats. Noticeably absent: cars, which aren't allowed in the area, giving riders a unique chance to revel in the peacefulness of nature.
