Coit may have started out as a small dry-cleaning business in 1950, but all that changed when the founder began offering drapery cleaning backed by a guarantee. It promised everything from a recleaning to a complete replacement if customers were unsatisfied, and it ensured enthusiastic high-fives and repeat business. Coit still relies on that guarantee to this day, and as a result, the company now has locations around the United States and Canada, and even in Thailand. Its technicians travel to homes to refresh carpets, clear grime from tile and grout, and remove pollutants from air ducts. They also still perform Coit's longtime specialty service—drapery and blind cleaning.
