About Rulls Clothing From Italy

Fashion, function, and fit were Michele and Marina Rubini’s core values when they founded Rulls Clothing From Italy in 1989. With more than 45 years’ experience in the apparel industry, Michele brought his extensive knowledge of quality fabrics and timeless styles to the Massachusetts Avenue shop, while Marina, an expert tailor, brought careful craftsmanship and impeccable fitting skills. Today, the husband-and-wife team helps customers select fine, Italian-made suits in styles ranging from traditional to modern, then tailors them to form-fitting perfection. Along with luxurious sweaters, dashing hats, and dress shoes, Rulls’ inventory includes more than 600 men’s dress shirts sized 15 to 18.5, and more than 400 ties by brands including Armani and Prada in a variety of colors and patterns, such as stripes, paisley, or Rorschach.

I would absolutely - ABSOLUTELY - NOT recommend this place. Firstly, you will get duped if you hadn't been there beforehand because it is very much an outlet/warehouse type place and a not a high-end retailer, as it seemed. (Just look at their tie selection.) Secondly, the woman who runs the store is incorrigibly rude. She is culturally off and is very difficult to work with, as she didn't want to understand how I wanted my pants fitted for quite some time. She was overall unpleasant to work with for both my girlfriend and myself and I urge you to steer clear. The shirts, ties, and cufflinks are hardly quality so you might as well just pay for a better suit at Suit Supply for this price.

The store is a perfect size for a classic men’s store not too big but I was able to count more than 1000 suits. The store is clean and well maintained. The furniture is not up to date but what is important is the quality of the suits I was able to find. San Remo, Fabio Inghirami with Ermenegildo Zegna cloth are only some of the wonderful Italia made suits that I was able to find. The store also brings its own manufacturers and carries a proprietary brand. The lady that owns the store speaks mostly Italian and tries to be as pleasant as possible. You need to be a little patient with her and open to internationality or if you want Italianity. She is not young so it is important to pay attent

The store is tiny, pretty dirty and the woman who owns it is unspeakably rude. She demanded that I select from a small selection of suits in my size, insisted that she couldn't order in my size a suit that I did want, and then insisted that I did not need a shirt in the size that I know I wear. This is definitely not a store I would ever patronize.

Nice suits- service left a bit to be desired- definitely felt rushed and not overly valued as a customer
