I could not believe that during open skate this arena allows multiple people to take ice skating assists out on the ice simply to speed around, act like bumper cars, and to push their friends on top of the assists all while a rink crew person is skating, busy on their phone. Not once during the whole session did I see the rink crew person tell anyone to stop. Only indication they worked for the rink was the back of their shirt and they picked up the little orange cones at the end of the session. It was dangerous and one kid got off the ice for fear of getting run over. Definitely not the family fun atmosphere I expected!

Jamie, sorry to hear about this experience. we have reviewed all recent open skates and seen nothing like this occurring without being attended to by our rink staff. if you ever attend again and see something like this, I would recommend you discussing with rink attendant or the manager on duty. We take these things very seriously.
