About Pearle Vision Cary

Since Dr. Stanley Pearle opened the doors to the first Pearle Vision in 1961, the franchise has expanded to more than 800 stores nationwide. In these stores, optometrists assess the ocular health of patients before onsite opticians help them navigate the assortment of frames from brands such as Versace, Ray-Ban, and DKNY. If they're not in the store, clients can utilize the Try-On tool, uploading a photo to see what they or their dog looks like in different types of glasses. Pearle Vision also helps focus the world with contacts from Acuvue and Biofinity.

This Pearle vision has fast and curtious service, in addition to a nice selection of frames that even a 9 yr old boy could appreciate. We had a $89 eye appointment next door, then proceeded to pick out frames at Pearle. They made the polycarbonate glasses while we waited. The whole thing took about an hour and a half. However, this location gives kids free lenses with frame purchase so the Groupon only saved us $6. It would be more cost-effective to use the Groupon at this location for ADULTS.

The customer service is great . Heather, the optician, helped me pick out a frame. However, I found the price of lenses to be a bit high...$199.00 for the basic set. I've been previously getting them at costco, which is way cheaper.

While the Groupon was a good deal I felt like their overall prices were ridiculous. I ended up spending $160 in addition to the $50 for the Groupon (coupon value was $225 + $160 = $385 total for frames and lenses). We bought a pair of D&G frames and lenses at Target for my husband just a couple of weeks ago and the total was only $219. I went in thinking the value of the Groupon would cover the total cost of the glasses but was sadly mistaken. I will say this though...the staff was very friendly and helpful. The service itself was great and I walked out with my glasses in hand. From that aspect Pearle Vision was great, financially...not so much.
