The founders of Mystic Mountain like to stress that in their family distilling is a four-generation thing. Their ancestors were heavily dabbing their toes in moonshining way back in the prohibition era. After the repeal of the Prohibition Act, the family locked away their secret recipes. But not forever. After all, this occupation was in their blood; The effect was that in 2004 some of the family members felt an irresistible urge to revive the family tradition. However, this time they made sure everything was kept on the right side of the law.

This rich family history and passion for the product has resulted in a successful distillery and tasting room that offers its customers ten varying products for differing liquor tastes. From Rocky Mountain Moonshine that pays homage to the days gone by, through Limited Edition Legend Premium Bourbon Whiskey which has to be at least three years old before it hits the tasting room's shelves, to Citrus and Orange Burst Moonshine, Aces High Whiskey, Colorado Fog Gin, and more.
