About Massage Envy

John Leonesio and Shawn Haycock opened the first Massage Envy in 2002, combining their experience in health club entrepreneurship and massage therapy. Massage Envy has made therapeutic massage services and skin care solutions accessible to a network of more than 1.5 million members in franchised locations across the United States. And it’s all because of a belief that massage and skin care aren’t a luxury; they’re body maintenance, pure and simple — part of your total body care routine. Regular massage and facial care go a long way toward helping members and guests of Massage Envy franchised locations take care of themselves and do more — do more of what matters to them, what makes them happy, what makes them feel healthy and supports a more well-balanced lifestyle.

The massage therapists were good. My groupon was for two massages-the day of my second massage, ME called and said my massage therapist had gone home sick. They had very limited appts open with other therapists (only 1 open with a female which I prefer and that didn't work with my schedule) and the front desk person said that I had to use my 2nd massage before the expiration date (which was the following day) or lose it because they don't set the expiration dates and I would have to take it up with groupon (even though my massage was originally scheduled before the expiration date). I rearranged my schedule to make one of the evening appts and when I was checking out, the front desk person (different from who I talked to earlier in the day) asked if was using a groupon, i said yes and they had previously redeemed it on my first visit and that was it-she didn't even need to see it (or the expiration date!). Since I had scheduled my 2nd massage before it expired and it was their reason for canceling, I think they shold have allowed me to reschedule at my convenience, not theirs. Without a Groupon, they are overpriced so I probably don't be going back.
