Minieri's Parkview Riding Center, Central Islip

Beneath the summer sun, riders traverse the three outdoor arenas at Minieri's Parkview Riding Center. Groups of summer camp participants not only climb into the saddle for lessons, but work with their assigned horses to learn the fundamentals of grooming, tacking, and eating an entire apple. Instructors also work with autistic and at-risk students during therapeutic riding sessions, working to help build confidence and self-esteem. During the cooler months, riders can keep the lessons trotting inside the huge 80'x200' arena, safe from the elements.
