There were hardly any food options. No NFL appearances. Ran out of beer around 9 ish.

The beer tastings were difficult to identify. There were lines in front of troffs of beer with no signs so you could not tell what beer was at the front until you got there...

Didn't see a single football player they mentioned. Not sure how this could be a football party with no mention of the Super Bowl or football. They had one Disney girl there. Disappointing.

This event had so much potential. I was so disappointed with the way things were handled today. I arrived at 12:30 to attend the event that started at noon and was turned away with word that it would reopen in an hour. After killing an hour, we returned to find out the time had been pushed back again, and we needed to wait in the rain for it to reopen. I had checked the website prior to attending and there was no information announcing the delay, which is poor management. I needed to purchase a ticket for my 8 year old daughter and found it absolutely absurd that the cost was $30 for a child to attend a beer festival, twice the price of a ticket I bought myself and I was able to enjoy the drinks! And to top it off, it was sad that Debby Ryan was an hour late and there were no football players in attendance.

The Oktoberfest at Rawhide is fun! A steal since the ticket comes with a punch card with 20- 4oz beer tastings. No one in my group was able to come close to finishing their punch cards. They had food trucks, vendors, a DJ and plenty of clean restrooms. The only con was no German music playing and a vendor selling tattoos- nothing good comes from easy access to tattoos after you have been drinking.

July 4th is supposed to be about independence and celebration of freedom. The music was all Mexican music, and I mean all four people we listened to sang Mexican songs. The fireworks only lasted about 10-15 minutes. Just wasn't worth it.

From Our Editors

Tim Flanigan created the event-planning company that bears his name in order to quench beer enthusiasts' thirst while supporting worthy causes. His Beat the Heat WinterFest brings a much-needed frosty edge to summertime in Arizona, and the Spring Swing Beer Bash kicks off baseball season with cold glassfuls of hoppy, wheaty, and malty goodness. The festivals showcase local and internationally renowned breweries, from Phoenix's own Old World Brewery and Phoenix Ale Brewery to Stella Artois and Hoegaarden Brewery.

Past events, which have benefitted children's charities, have been held at the 30,000-square-foot Arizona Event Center and The Venue Scottsdale, whose stone walls, chandeliers, and retractable roof resemble the medieval football stadiums of yore.
