Julia’s Restaurant & Lounge
Everything was GREAT! The food was AMAZING and we will definiately be returning.
The food was unbelievable, the signature cocktail list was unique, our waitress was super friendly, and the atmosphere is cool. I can't say enough great things! We're lifers!
Great service and food! Will definitely return again
Excellent food. Great service. Very nice decoration and DJ on Saturday nights.
Lovely environment but almost empty. Food was good but service was slow, perhaps because of so few diners?
Food was horrible. Atmosphere is too noisy. If they want to be a bar, they should just be a bar.
Good quality reasonably priced food in a much-needed non-chain fine dining restaurant in Chantilly area.
Unusual layout, cavernous, A recent redesign makes the bar and lounge area bigger and the dining room which has a dance floor smaller so expect dining room to fill on busy nights.
Largely Italian wine list with some decent values.
The food was very good, the only downside was the menu was limited otherwise a very enjoyable experience. The Lobster Ravioli is a good a everyone has said....excellent!
This place is a joke. They try to make themselves into an upscale fancy Italian restaurant for date nights, large gatherings but fails miserably. I guess any place that is dark is considered "romantic " for some people. For me, the darkness seemed to cover up the lack of cleanliness. The tablecloth and napkins are black and napkins had a weird smell. I'm wondering if they're black to coverup the fact it's not clean.
We ordered our food. The calamari was small in portion for $10. My linguini with scallops came in an awful tilted tacky bowl that had too much sauce and not enough linguine. For a $24 dish, it has exactly 4 scallops. My daughter ordered the daily special of chicken alfredo primavera which the waiter recommended but instead was served chicken Parmesan. When I told the waiter, he apologized and saids the correct dish will be coming out soon. My son's chicken fettuccine was bland and the noodles tasted overboiled. My husband gets his steak and potatoe gratin. His dish was probably the most edible out if everything we ordered.
My daughter 's dish finally comes out and we had to send it back. !the noodle was so over cooked that it was watery. It was worse than my son's that there was no way to eat it. It was really disgusting.
Because we had Groupon to use, we decided to order dessert. The waiter would not bring us the menu. He just said there's four desserts and called them out. I asked for the menu cause I wanted to see the price. He tells me it's all $7 like I'm at a diner instead of an upscale restaurant they pretend to me.
We're never going back there again. Despite several mistakes that made my daughter unable to eat her dinner she ordered, all I got was an apology but nothing to make up for it. No discount. No free dessert. No apology from the manager, especially when we were first time dinners. Save your money. The hostess is unfriendly and curt. The waiters look haggard and are incompetent. Food is overpriced, small portioned and tasteless. Ambience is dark on purpto hide how bad everything is.
From Our Editors
Julia’s Restaurant & Lounge is practically tailor-made for date night with crisp white tablecloths, an impressive wine list, and local musicians performing live acoustic sets. But the upscale italian-fusion spot is hardly all looks; the menu pairs italian favorites like calamari and lobster ravioli with fresh takes on steamed pork buns and new york strip steak.
