Amy was running 20 minutes late. Offered no apology, but I assumed I would receive a full hour massage since i had arrived early.
My treatment lasted 50 minutes at best.
I have used Amy's services in the past but was disappointed with the shorter time and the fact it took 3 months to book a massage!!

Iris!! I am surprised at this review!😢
While reviews both good and bad are good to gauge a business; it hardly tells two sides. So. Here is mine:
I came down at 2:30(your appointment was at 2:30), I was so happy to see you cause it had been a while that we chatted happily or at least I thought happily until my client came down. In that time, I DID apologize but, I didnt grovel at your feet. While I was checking that person out, we all chatted quite nicely together. As soon as he left, I tried to reset the room as fast as possible! You can up it was about 2:45, you chatted a bit more, I went down, we started at about 2:50 pm---I went to 3:45(the start of my next massage) figuring 5 minutes for you to get up and check you out was still well within a reseasonable length for a massage session) THEN you came down and we exchanged pictures of our newest additions (eating into my next clients time, if you want to be technical).
50-60 minutes is typical for any massage in this town.
What people do not know, is that you cancelled a few visits before this visit, that would have been earlier than 3 months.
Creating an environment of ease and no rush is part of my business model. Should I have told my earlier client to rush out of the room and kick him out the door?? No.
All the while, smiling and chatting with me, you had a bad visit. I know you. Have seen you. Know about your family and life and You do me the dishonour of stating your displeasure on a review?? Instead at the time of your visit, all things that could have been fixed or handled at the time.
Now, I am less inclined to offer you a make up session, because I do not award lack of understanding, empathy or kindness.
The lesson for both of us, is to you should have some more understanding and I should be more cognizant of peoples time even if they are being nice to my face.
😊

I moved to Charleston in late 2015 and onto Johns Island in the summer is 2017. Aimee gave me the BEST 90 minute massage I have experienced in ages. Hi, you will be glad you did.
