Need to understand that the Groupon deal DOES NOT come with food from all the various contestants at the throw down, but instead from the venue's own kitchen, so if you think you're gonna get a great deal on really terrific BBQ, you're mistaken. Wouldn't buy this again.

Great event. I did like it better when I received tickets with the groupon rather than the bbq plate. I would be willing to pay more up front for this rather than stand in a line after standing in the entrance line.

Smoke on the Harbor is a great event sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society. They really do a great time with the event, but GO EARLY! You don't have to be there early, just don't show up late. The later hours of the event are set aside for the awards ceremony and all the BBQ is gone!
