About Tailored Massage

A former fitness trainer and corporate number cruncher, massage therapist Mark Kennon traded his sweatpants and suit coats for a degree from the Southeastern School of Massage, where he studied structural anatomy, kinesiology, and physiology. Versed in soul- and sinew-soothing Swedish massage, Mark spans sore necks and backs with a tactical array of gliding strokes that may be augmented with the therapeutic bodywork of clinical neuromuscular therapy and targeted trigger-point techniques. By incorporating hot stones and warm towels into each treatment, Mark elevates clients to a plane of relaxation known only to sleepy sloths and Morgan Freeman’s scene partners.

Loved the deep tissue massage with hot stones and warm towels! Mark is very professional and through, tailoring the massage to your specific needs. In addition he offers suggestions to help you improve your symptoms. Would recommend him to anyone who has back and neck pain.

DO NOT GO HERE! To warn others, I would like to tell you about my horrible experience: The guy texted me 2 hours before the massage to see if I would be interested in pushing back the massage so that I could sleep in. I had a prior engagement get my car serviced so I declined and he said that was fine and would meet me at the massage studio at the appointed time. He was 45 minutes late and didn't even seem apologetic! Then he proceeded to set up the room (another 20 minutes). The massage was fine but I was already stressed because I knew I was going to be late for my car appointment. After the massage, I was in the process of giving him my Groupon and he was very disgruntled when he saw that I had a Groupon (which I had already specified to him when booking the appointment). He then proceeded to tell me how he makes no money on Groupons and he doesn't like it when customers use it and that I should leave a very large tip to make up for it. I should not have tipped him at all but I was so shocked by the whole experience, I just tipped and headed out the door. And then when I was driving away I realized that he didn't even massage me for the full 90 minutes! It ended up being a 50 minute massage and a horrible experience overall, plus I was late for my car appointment. I will not be going back and would urge others to stay away!
