About Dragon Moonshine Company

The first legal moonshine distillery in Charlotte since Prohibition, Dragon Moonshine Company is still making its name on the illicit stuff. Their take on white lightning uses local and organic ingredients and is distilled in several small stills instead of one large pot to better control the final product. Their team hand-crafts and hand-bottles everything in their NoDa warehouse known as Area 15, where visitors can stop by for a tour. These are on offer so far:

  • Silver rum: made with pure cane sugar and molasses for sweet, smooth finish

It was a great experience. Learned a lot about the company starting from the ground up. It was also fun. The drinks were delicious, the moonshine was super smooth. I purchased the Amaretto moonshine after the tour.
