About Las Delicias Bakery

When La Mama and her husband first decided to open a coffee house, they had a few ideas in mind. They imagined the feel of a European café, where guests could sip lattes and coffee drinks made with locally roasted beans. They wanted their café to be a social oasis, with friends gathering in the open air of a sidewalk patio to enjoy a multi-grain croissant or a panini stuffed with basil, mozzarella, and tomatoes. And they wanted guests to feel at home, so they created a cozy, low-key setting where you can listen to live music or sip a glass of wine on the weekend.

La Mama and her family made their coffee house dreams come true at Mama's Coffee House. Specially trained baristas handle the drinks, and La Mama handles the menu, which includes light café fare and Latin desserts.

Meh not impressed. I was hoping for an exciting hometown local brew vibe. Bagel for breakfast sandwich was burnt toasted, and the coffee tasted like syrup. The gentleman who seemed to be in charge (manager ? Owner?) kept making annoying and overzealous references to his employee as a barista. This " barista " obviously has no training. The shop is set in beautiful house with exposed beams and hardwood floors, but the decor is over stimulating and rather hideous ! There are gaudy scribbles all over the walls, chairs, tables, etc... Definitely not the place to go if you are looking for a relaxing experience with a delicious cup of coffee.
