About Camp Bow Wow

Twelve years ago, Heidi Ganahl decided to pursue her dream and opened the first Camp Bow Wow in Denver. Camp Bow Wow has now burgeoned into a national franchise with more than 200 locations in 40 states, and her success has earned attention from the likes of CNN Money, CNBC, and various other news outlets.

One of the secrets to Heidi’s success? Her love of dogs. Born from a desire to provide a safe, healthy place where owners could drop their pets instead of cooping them up at home, each Camp Bow Wow location functions more like an all-inclusive kids’ summer camp than a depressing kennel. Pooches are free to frolic with each other in outdoor and indoor play areas and spend their afternoons making fun of the postman’s latest haircut, all while their owners watch them on Camper Cam video streams. For overnight visitors, temperature-controlled cabins host beds with fleece blankets, and the camp counsellors give each canine camper a campfire treat before putting them to bed. Dogs and owners feel at ease knowing that certified camp counsellors, trained in dog behaviour and pet first aid, are close at hand.

Wrigley has had a great experience there thus far. The staff are friendly and he always comes home tuckered out.

This place is wonderful! They take great care of the dogs and I love that you can watch what your dog is up to on the webcams from wherever you are. Definitely recommend. The price isn't awful too for what you get.

The establishment was a very clean environment, and the staff were very accommodating which I appreciated...my one "but" is that I didn't see any forewarning prior to purchase of Groupon that dogs must come with a "break-away" collar. This wouldn't be an issue for most patrons probably but my dog gets out of all collars and harnesses so I have to use a Martingale collar...meaning extra cost to have a collar for Camp Bow Wow. Maybe it IS forewarned and I just didn't see it?? Anyway, I do think it is an excellent care center for dogs. I witnessed over a long period of observing that the staff removes doggy waste immediately.

My dog was hurt by another, his eye was bitten and required emergency surgery, We have spent approximately $3,000.00 on Vet bills, not to mention the pain our little guy endured. Really hate I had to give the one star to rate our experience.
