It's impossible to stand still at Jazzercise Fitness Centers of Spokane, where bumping music and trendy dance moves keep butts shaking and hearts pounding. The class schedule is dominated by Dance Mixx, which combines dance-based cardio and strength training into one calorie-torching session. The enthusiastic instructors also lead a smattering of more specialized classes, including Core, which focuses on the abs, and Strike, which unites cardio with kicks and jabs. To keep groups motivated, each class is soundtracked with top 40 hits and absolutely no funeral dirges.
