fun show. we would like to try to go again when there isn't a birthday party as the focus seemed to be on the birthday girl which is fine but confusing for our kids who weren't part of the party. So when we got there, there were kids doing crafts before the show and my kids wanted to do them but they were for the party, etc., so it was a little confusing. it might be nice (if known) to let people buying tickets know that a party will be going on at the same time and how that may affect the people coming to the show. the website says there can be parties, but we didn't realize it was all simultaneous with the show. Still a good time. One other quick thought is that at the show we went to, the actors got on a tangent about going to Egypt because of a drawing that looked an Egyptian pyramid. Since the birthday girl was 4, as we're most her friends I think that went way over there heads. I would keep those references in check and try to think of things more universal to kids (e.g., the picture also looked like a spider web). Don't get me wrong, it was still fun, just maybe more confusion than there needed to be. Improv is so different day to day so we'll be back.

I would rather see a well written, planned and organized children's theater show than the improvised show.

We had our son's 9th birhday party there, based on the promotion that they'd do "something" that pertained to him in the show. They even called before to ask questions about him. But other than announcing his birthday and having him come up on stage, they didn't do anything. We kept waiting for some sort of skit or mention. All the staff was very nice and apologized after, but the guy just kept saying, sometimes it works, sometimes we just can't work it in. Really? It's IMPROV. I bet you could have... Also, I'd say doing one long improv skit is too long for little kids. I thought it would be a few different things. Three 20 minutes sketches would have been much better. I think that would help especially with the attention span of little kids. Not sure I'd go back.
