They are willing to let you adjust the cocktail for a minimal upcharge, which was very reasonable. Their plum wine was unique and would be extra delicious on a cool day/night.

Be sure to call and reserve if you're using a Groupon. They won't let you in without a reservation.

The food was good and the service was good until we got our bill. They forgot that I had the groupon and I gave it to them. They then revised the bill but added the gratuity which was not on there previously. The waitress was apologetic. I felt that I had gone out of my way to support the organization. I ordered a bottle of wine, two appetizers and two entrees because I always like to order much more than I plan to eat because I want to support the restaurant. This totally turned me off especially because it is obvious that they only do it for Groupon members. I would have planned on going back but now I will never go back.

Bill was expensive even after Groupon due to an 18% gratuity on service that wasn't that Great. The owner was literally feeding the customers shots from a bottle... Probably so they wouldn't be upset when they got the HUGE check for mediocre food.

The place was very cute, nice service, and good food (though a bit too much oil in my food - the veg goulash!). Overall, nice evening for a dinner - good for couples especially.

They gave us a little trouble about not having made a reservation (technically, you're supposed to make one if you're going to use a Groupon, and we didn't). But they accepted the Groupon.

From Our Editors

A fixture in Irving Park since the 1970s, the original Little Bucharest Bistro closed in 2004—but that wasn't the end of the story. Like a pop star making a comeback, the neighborhood eatery reappeared in the mid-2000s with a new look. "I wanted to bring the signature high-energy vibe of old Little Bucharest into a new setting," owner Branko Podrumedic says on the website. To this end, his staff sets out white-clothed tables beneath the dining room's stained-glass windows, as well as hosting diners on a spacious patio during the warmer months.

But the decor wasn't the only part of the restaurant getting a makeover, Podrumedic's revamped menu also earned praise from Metromix for "blending traditional Eastern European ingredients with more modern presentations and a contemporary sensibility." To create these artistically plated entrees, chefs turn to a variety of hearty vegetables and seasoned meats, including veal and seafood. On top of the eats, year-round live entertainment fills the spacious dining room with the sounds of Persian music, guitar solos, and violinists playing the Jaws theme as diners go to take a bite.
