There needs to be more than one employee handling the dine in customers, answering the phone, taking carry out orders and running the register. When I visited the restaurant it was during lunch time. The customers were receiving poor customer service because there was one employee trying to take care of too many tasks at once. I have visited two other Quench restaurant locations and I received excellent service. I fell in love with the hand cut fries and turkey products I received at the other locations. But when I visited the Calumet City location the fries were disgusting and should not have been served to anyone. The fries were cooked in dirty cooking oil and looked burnt. My nephews could not eat them. I ordered the smothered turkey chops and it was extremely salty. My mother ordered the salmon croquettes and there was an egg shell in them. The customer service was so terrible our lunch lasted for two and a half hours. There was also a young man in the restarant who identified himself as the owner. He did not lift a finger to help the employee trying to serve the customers. He was busy talking on his phone and acting like he was busy while the line was getting longer at the register. If you want to visit a Quench! restaurant please do not visit this location.

It's more of a southern restaurant - you can't eat in but the food was scrumptous. The cook is from New Orleans (my home town). Greens, cornbread, cabbage, ribs, steak & gravy, turkey wings and gravy, sweet potatoes, gumbo, mac&cheese and free peach cobbler.
