About Raw Bar Chicago

In the heart of Wrigleyville, diners savor Raw Bar’s namesake plate—fresh, raw oysters amid 40s and 60s art deco. However, the eatery’s seafood offerings encompass cooked cuisine as well, such as clams, lobsters, Dungeness crab, and octopus. Grilled frogs’ legs complement the aquatic eats, along with alligator meat smothered in creamy Louisiana mushroom sauce, and ostrich, a lean red meat discovered by far-sighted farmers who mistook ostriches for chickens. Mediterranean and Persian offerings, such as hummus and Persian chicken potato salad, round out the menu, and diners can wash down their meals with pours from the oaken bar, such as beers and hand-crafted margaritas.

Went on ge day (by accident)....still good. Nice fast service. Just no $1 oysters or happy hour. Food was good.

Service was great. Alligator appetizer was horrible. It tasted fishy, tough and freezer burnt, but the sauce was good. Had to request rolls or bread. Received stale rolls and country crock spread, not butter. Had to request butter. Hardly appropriate for an upscale eatery. Shaved brussel sprout salad was misrepresented. Sprouts were cut in half, not shaved, no greens, no quinoa, no rice. Main courses of halibut and blackened mahi mahi were very good.

Was closed for remodeling so I never used it. But also it says something about a $60.00 entre that I don't understand. With them being closed I never had the chance to speak to anyone, just the answering machine. They will be closed for a couple of months. I really hope that I didn't waste my money. This will be the 2nd time for the same reason on these oyster bars. Please respond to me on this. ..
