Red Line Tap, Chicago

Working in conjunction with the Heartland Cafe next door, a Rogers Park institution that's been serving sustainably-sourced burgers and breakfasts for nearly forty years, Red Line Tap carries on a tradition that started more than a century ago. Though the building housed a string of different establishments throughout the 1900s, including the 7006 Club and The Rogers Park Boating Club, it has always been considered a neighborhood gathering point known for a friendly atmosphere regardless of the name out front. That history informs Red Line Tap's current identity, which is rooted in community, quality cocktails, frosty brews, and, most notably, live music that compliments the clack of pool balls almost seven nights a week.
