About Resistor

Out of its new location in Chicago's Avondale neighborhood, Resistor hosts a variety of artistic events and classes. During BYOB evening painting events, for example, guests only need to bring their readiness to make art and perhaps a bottle of bubbly. All materials are provided, so they can relax and sip wine as a skilled instructor helps them mimic works from renowned artists like Manet, Cézanne, and many others. And when the evening is done, guests get to take home their completed masterpiece along with a great memory.

Resistor was great! Very casual and relaxed setting. My boyfriend and I went for date night and brought our own wine. Glasses were provided. We had a great time!

The artist teaches all classes herself; the set up is very convenient - every one can see and hear what we suppose to be doing and she checks and advises everyone too. She provides cups for drinks you might bring with yourself. There is only street parking on a very busy street. The canvas are on the small size.

Had so much fun here came for my friend bday! And we had fun this was our first time doing a sip and paint. Will be going back
