Don't be fooled by the name: Hathaway's Coffee Shop is every inch a diner, and in the best way possible. Weary travelers in search of a cup of joe won't be disappointed, but neither will those hankering for a patty melt, a milkshake, or a piled-high plate of biscuits and gravy. And just like the menu of classic comfort foods, the atmosphere is decidedly retro—servers with beehive hairdos deliver meals in dresses that hearken back to the diner's 1956 opening, and the black, white, and powder blue motif will have older diners feeling nostalgic and colorblind diners feeling patriotic.
