At Seema’s Botox & Aesthetics, all IPL treatments are performed strictly according to established medical and safety protocols. As this was your first IPL session with our practice, we intentionally used conservative settings, which is the standard and safest approach for an initial treatment. This allows us to assess your skin’s response and minimize the risk of adverse effects such as burns, hyperpigmentation, or irritation. While we understand that you may have received IPL treatments at other facilities, we do not have documentation of prior settings or outcomes from those locations. For this reason, and in the interest of patient safety, we cannot begin at higher settings during a first visit. Safety is always our top priority. At your follow-up or second treatment, once we have evaluated how your skin responded, we are able to safely adjust and increase the settings as clinically appropriate to achieve optimal results.
