Scrapbook Traditions, Clemmons

In 1996, Scrapbook Traditions began in the basement of Tracy Gilley's home. A woman named Jackie Scott had hired Gilley to put together a scrapbook of her life and family history as a Christmas gift. In five short months, Gilley produced more than 950 pages that covered more than a century of the Scott family history. When Jackie died several years later, all 10 scrapbooks were put on display at her memorial; guests at the service pored over the books and Jackie's son expressed his immense gratitude to Gilley for compiling the family history.

Scrapbook Traditions believes in the importance of scrapbooking to preserve memories and record history for future generations. The store offers an array of courses to help scrapbookers get started as well as shelves full of supplies, ranging from sheets of colorful 12”x12” cardstock and sticky adhesives capable of mounting bites of pizza from a couple's first date.
