Powerhouse Gym's 18,000-square foot interior is a fitness haven filled with free weights, cardio machines, and full boxing and training studios. A haven for health gurus, the gym's doors open at 5 a.m. every Monday morning and never close until 10 p.m. on Friday. Full weeks of 24-hour fitness opportunities lets a staff of personal trainers readily help new members navigate the space. Once inside, they establish routines on the equipment or showing how best to utilize the new functional training studio to achieve fitness goals or sneak away from work to nap.
Alternatively, instructors welcome students into group fitness classes. In addition to traditional classes such as Zumba, members can take on unique offerings such as BODYPUMP, a total body workout utilizing barbell weights. Those looking to enhance their physical conditioning and strength by using free weights and odd objects can try Armageddon, a fitness session that combines sandbags, jump ropes, battling ropes, kettle bells, and sledge hammers with a circuit, interval, and cross-training modalities. The space also features a classic running track, locker room facilities, and a Kid Zone babysitting service six days a week. Their newest addition is a brand new fully functional training studio set up with equipment for a variety of activities, including tire flipping, rope climbing, and box jumps.
