It was clear that the docents were very knowledgeable. We discussed a needlework rug Mrs Bush completed after decades of work. They were familiar about it, and we discussed the history, disposition, and restoration of it.
The gift shop has quality merchandise as well, not the typical tourist trinkets made of plastic and cheap metal

We really enjoyed our visit. Information about his service and the many government positions he had prior to the presidency made for interesting reading. The inclusion of his personal correspondence throughout his life’s experiences, added much more depth to our understanding. All the staff was kind and professional. The train engine and Marine one are icing on the cake.
