This was my first tattoo ever, and of course I decided to go right for the face! After getting my top eyeliner tattooed yesterday, it was a little hard to see and keep my eyes open because of all the numbing cream, so I highly recommend bringing someone along to drive you. My eyes are a little sore and swollen today, but other than that they feel fine! The tattooing process itself was certainly uncomfortable and not for the faint of heart if you hate having anything near your eye, but Brinda at Uncle Bud's Pikes Peak Tattoo was so sweet and patient with me. She did a great job, and I go back to see her in 3 weeks for a touch up. I have an allergic reaction to most makeup and I absolutely love not having to worry about doing my face anymore. It's definitely a time/money saver! The hardest part is certainly the aftercare. No alcohol (I see you mango margarita mix!), no sun exposure, no makeup, lotion, contacts, swimming, exercising, or touching your eye except to wash it and reapply ointment (3x a day). This is one place you do not want to get an infection, and since you can't slap a bandaid on it's important to follow all of the instructions if you consider getting permanent makeup as well.
