Hillcreek Yarn Shoppe offers yarns in every color of the rainbow and projects to match any crafter's dreams. Owner Bex Oliger, who grew up in her mother's weaving studio and founded the shop in 2003, leads a team of part-time employees who work at the shop simply because of their love of knitting. Customers can shop for yarn from every major brand and pick up hand-dyed and specialty yarns from boutique producers from around the world. Throughout the 3,000-square-foot space, regulars work on projects with assistance and encouragement from staff members, and classes are held to help participants complete a variety of projects, from fingerless gloves to knit shawls. They offer classes in knitting, cochet, weaving and many other fiber arts.
