South Carolina Oyster Festival, Columbia

Celebrating more than 20 years, the South Carolina Oyster Festival is the place to be for all things "oysters." The festival sells steamed oysters by the bucket, courtesy of Pearlz Oyster Bar, as well as other oyster-themed dishes like oyster shooters, fried oysters, and oyster gumbo. But for those who aren't fond of these mollusks, the festival also hosts several other food vendors and ice cold beer. All this with the accompaniment of live music played on two stages and children roaming across an area filled with amusements and games.
