Our family spent a super fun evening at Breakout trying to escape Mystery Mansion. Our kids range in age from 17 to 26 and this was the perfect activity for everyone. Challenging and fun at the same time and all for a great price... we will definitely be back soon!

We went for a birthday and had a great time. The kidnapping room was the right mix of difficulty and solvability-- we felt lost a few times but were still able to get out in the end. The props and other touches helped make the room feel realistic. The employees were professional and friendly at all times.

Been to Breakout many times with groups of friends and it has always been excellent. The staff are awesome and the puzzles are well-made and scale well whether you have 4 people or 8 people in a room. No cheap tricks like in some escape room businesses. I recommend buying the 8-person Groupon to rent the whole room for the hour and finding folks to come with, or even just enjoying having the room for 4-6 people only with no strangers added on.

We did this on a girls' weekend shopping trip and had a blast! What fun themes. The plot, clues, and puzzles were well thought out. The room was decorated very well and had some fun, surprising effects!

From Our Editors

Escape-room games are inherently adrenaline inducing. With 60 minutes on the clock and a mystery before them, teams use their critical thinking skills to uncover hidden items, crack codes, and solve puzzles to escape before time is up. The real allure of Breakout Games isn’t the challenging detective work, though. Rather, it’s the thrilling narratives behind each escape room. Read on to learn about the mysteries facing players.

  • The Kidnapping: In the most intense scenario, players have been abducted and handcuffed inside an unfamiliar room. Using hidden messages from the previous victim, the team collaborates to escape before the kidnapper returns.
  • Museum Heist: As former art thieves, you and your friends are hired to find a rare collection of stolen artwork on the eve of a prestigious gallery opening. Breaking your way into the thief’s home, you must follow clues, find the stolen goods and escape before the clock runs out.
  • Casino Royale: While investigating the disappearance of an MI6 agent, the team is trapped in a room of the Casino Royale. In just an hour, its members must follow clues to locate the missing agent and determine the kidnapper.
  • Island Escape: Island Escape sees players abandoned on a tropical island whose previously dormant volcano is now rumbling. The group must flee the island within the hour before the volcano’s lava reaches them.
  • The Hostage: While on a flight, the team's plane is hijacked and everyone loses consciousness. Once awakened, the team finds themselves handcuffed to one another in the hijacker's headquarters and must free themselves, discover the details behind the hijacking, and escape before they run out of time.
