Mikey's Late Night Slice, Columbus

Gyros and hotdogs make for good late-night snacks, but nothing compares to pizza. That's how Mikey Sorboro felt while roaming the streets of Columbus one night. He realized the downtown area had a serious need for a tasty slice, and thus Mikey's Late Night Slice was born.

Since the first Mikey's opened in July 2009, Sorboro has launched four additional locations. At each spot, customers find concise menus packed with a few tried-and-true varieties, including cheese, mushroom, pepperoni, and the pizza of the week. But these shops aren't the only places to find Mikey's pizza: the pizzeria also runs an award-winning food truck that, like club-hopping vampires, has become a staple of the city's nightlife scene. With its unmistakable black visage, and the motto "Pay. Eat. Leave." scrawled across its side, this truck doles out the same slices—and slice of attitude—that have made Mikey's a local favorite.
