Hard to get good French Onion Soup in this area, and they make a pretty good one. The lamb and duck dishes we got were excellent. Fine service too.

I had a reservation. No seating was ready when we arrived. The restaurant was full(due to the Groupon expiring the next day) After being seated, we waited 10 minutes before we asked for water...our waiter had way too many tables to cover, we had to ask for the dipping sauce for our bread, BUT the entrees were good. We have been to La Sen many times... This may have been one too many.😕

Make sure you try some of the appetizers, there are several very good choices - escargot, steak tartare and the mussels entree makes a great appetizer to share. Some of our favorite entrees are the duck breast, duck confit and lamb chops. They do a nice job on homemade pastas too, and make sure you listen to their daily specials, they have often been good choices for us when we don't go with our regular favorites.

From Our Editors

La Sen Bistro blends culinary traditions from across the world, from Vietnam, to France, to sunny California. Split between reds and whites sourced from Californian and French vineyards, its wine list reflects the California-French cuisine emerging from the kitchen. Chefs coat duck breast in a honey-pepper sauce and craft a traditional French onion soup with garlic croutons and broiled ementale cheese. They also douse salmon in saffron sauce, pair garlic pommes frites with a ribeye steak, and fill a vegetarian lasagna with gruyere and eggplant, a tastier alternative to vegetarian lasagna made with oak leaves.
