We have eaten at this restaurant off and on for several years. We have tried everything including shrimp (both fried and coconut), steak, chicken fried steak, hamburgers, chicken fried chicken, salads, pasta, beef with gravy, etc – many, many items. We haven’t been able to find anything that we truly enjoy. The food is what I would call “bland” and not original. We ordered the chicken fried steak last night and had about 3 bites and that was enough. Gravy had no taste and the steak had less taste. The mashed potatoes were dry, however the fried okra was good. My companion had a hamburger and he said it was nothing but a frozen patty. Our peach cobbler was burnt and also had little to no flavor including the ice cream. It was no Blue Bell that was for sure. One of my favorites which kept my coming back at first was the shrimp cocktail in a picante type sauce with avocado. It was my very favorite with large, plump and very flavorable shrimp. First they took it off the menu and when it came back, it was the small, tasteless cocktail shrimp. I live in the area and want to promote local, family oriented businesses. However, after several years of trying and ordering most of the items on the menu, we decided yesterday was our last visit. We eat out most meals as we are both business professionals, but if we don’t enjoy our food, there is no point in remaining a loyal customer.

I had the beef tips over rice. They were not seasoned well and mostly tasteless. The fried coconut shrimp and cole slaw were very good. The fries did not taste fresh.
