I'm not one to usually complain, but I am 100% dissatisfied with the "services" provided from Eleven 11 salon (Sweet Salon). It took 5 phone calls, one email and a text message just to set up an appointment. Once I found the salon, under a different name, I walked in and the salon was appalling. It had hair everywhere and dye smeared on everything. I approached the desk to check-in and the lady at the front had an attitude and didn't help me. A stylist directed me to the man that was to take care of my services. He got up and looked at me and said, "Where you from?" I told him the city I lived in and he made it clear that's not what he meant. I already know that he wanted to know my ethnicity. I sat down in a dirty chair at a sink that had not been cleaned. Honestly, I don't know why I stayed since I was so uncomfortable at the time. He kept his 7 bracelets on 8 rings, one of which had a hair, not mine, stuck in it. He proceed to slap my head. He never scrubbed with his fingers. It's like he honestly never washed someones hair in his life. He fumbled with the water hose and sprayed me directly in the face and down my shirt, no apologies. After he finished he told me to hold my hair with a hand towel while he fumbled around looking for clips to pin my hair up in sections. This took about 20 minutes of him opening every drawer in the salon and making grunting noises. He pulled my hair outwards looking at it with wide eyes like he'd never seen anything like it before (I have thick curly hair). He kept looking at the other stylist and even said, "how'd you do that?" The other stylist was giving his client a blowout, the exact same service I was there for. At this point I wanted to cry, but I told myself to stay since I didn't want to leave to an awards ceremony for my husband with wet hair. He pulled out a brush with another persons hair in it and a hair dryer with hair stuck in. Gag me now!. He proceeded to burn me about 20X with the heat and by touching the metal to my face. I was there 1 1/2 hours before my hair was dry. I couldn't take anymore. I told him I had to leave for my engagement and he told me he wasn't finished and I told him it was okay and had to leave now due to time restraints. He grabbed my hair started trying to pin it up again and said, "I'll do it quickly." He quickly took a flat iron and started spasticly yanking through my hair with it and yelling, "Hot! Ow!" as he tried to quickly finish. I told him that was enough and I had to leave. I when to front and the same rude girl told me someone else would have to check me out. The other stylist redeemed my groupon and I left. I looked and felt worse then I did when I arrived. Feeling extremely guilt ridden that I didn't know voice my concerns earlier I emailed the salon to try and give feedback. I have not heard from them yet. My appointment was on Tuesday and I emailed on Wednesday and today is Thursday. Judging by how they never even called me back to set up an appointment I don't think I will hear back from them this time. I didn't feel it was fair to post a review of my experience without letting them try to remedy the situation first.

Not recommended at ALL!! I bought a groupon that said: men haircut and full color. Called to make sure it was going to work to dye my hair blonde, and when got there they made up excuses to not dye my hair. They wanted me to pay an extra $100 to do what I wanted. Also, it wasn't the salon that they shownkn the pictures. It was a smaller, sketchy place. Not recommended!

From Our Editors

The recipe for the runway-ready styles that emerge within Eleven 11 Salon begins with its location: a 3,000-square-foot studio designed by architect Eddie Maestri and interior designer Jamie Carroll, situated in Dallas's luxurious Uptown neighborhood in front of Hotel Zaza, and across the street from Hotel Crescent and the Ritz Carlton. In this spa-like setting, stylists—many of whom also serve as educators for leading beauty companies—call on both time-honored and cutting-edge techniques to create stylish, flattering looks for men and women.

The service menu goes far beyond haircuts and styles to include hair extensions and bold color treatments ranging from classic highlights to balayage, a freehand technique that creates a gradient ombre effect to suggest time spent lying on the beach or coloring your hair in a sunset. The staff can transform hair's texture, too: Japanese straightening treatments leave hair smooth and straight until it grows out, and Brazilian Blowouts control curl and boost shine for up to three months. Aesthetic experts also perform makeup applications and bridal services. The salon extends its regular Tuesday through Saturday business hours to include services by appointment on Sundays and Mondays, so clients with strapped schedules can always find a time that works for them, seven days a week.
