About The Fashion Opera

Antonio Wingfield loved turning his designs into wearable realities—but he didn't love the fashion world's narrow standards of beauty. Looking to explore the deeper meanings of fashion, beauty, and the politics surrounding both, he developed a unique concept: using garments to tell a story. Wingfield co-founded The Fashion Opera with Darnelle Sanders, and the two set out to do much more than showcase clothing. The interactive theatrical experiences aim to challenge perceptions about aesthetics, a mission in keeping with Wingfield's belief that "a garment has the power to uplift the spirit."

Very unorganized. The location is different to say the least. I drove past the place because I couldn't believe an art show was at a bar. I was taken aback at what the hosts were even trying to do which I still don't understand. The "shows" were supposed to be at 3:45 pm and later but there ticket said 3:00 p.m. I wouldn't recommend to a friend. It was just weird.

Hard to find the place, once we found it, I ask a couple of times to redeem my groupon and they didn't know nothing about. My friend and I waited there for 2 hours wondering if something was going to happen, in the meantime we had some drinks and appetizers. When we were about to leave the show slowly started outside the place, no seating accommodation, no mic, poor organisation.

Great show! Loved the presentation of the fashion. Did have a little trouble finding the venue, but had a great time once I got there.

Seating was not accommodating to the show. The show started over 2 hours later then advertised. There were no mic used to speak to the crowd. Not well planned at all.
