An ethereal faerie reclines dreamily against a winter snowscape; three children play dress-up in a timeless, sepia-toned shot—these are just two of the countless creative photographic setups that MugShots Photography’s shutterbug Jennifer Bond has envisioned and executed during her 12-year career in photography. Specializing in family shots, Jennifer’s portraits are mainly candid or semiposed, lending them a natural, sometimes whimsical quality that lets her subjects’ personalities shine through. An assortment of kid-sized costumes accompanies Jennifer on her child-photography shoots, allowing her to capture precious poses of wee ones as pirates, cowboys, or middle-school vice principals. Jennifer also negotiates makeup and hair services for a more glamorous look.
Jennifer’s extensive experience in Photoshop gives her the freedom to retouch blemishes, slim down curves, or play around with colour filters. When not behind a lens or computer screen, she often shares her artistic expertise during interactive photo classes.
