MILE HIGH Murder Mystery Race, Denver

The best part of any comic book is when the heroes and villains face off. At Denver Urban Avengers, participants get to experience those thrills firsthand. Donning the costumes of their favorite heroes, villains, or characters of their own creation, contenders race through a scavenger-hunt style course through a city in peril. Then, at a series of checkpoints, they must perform a superpower-themed feat in the battle between good and evil. Afterward, the first three teams to finish receive their due honors and awards are handed out to best costumes on both an individual and team scale. The whole thing caps off with an X-Ray Vision Dance Party, lead underwear optional. The race also gives you another reason to feel like a superhero: a quarter of each registration fee goes toward fighting cystic fibrosis.
