About Pisco Sour Restaurant & Lounge

Pisco Sour Restaurant & Lounge's chefs dish out Peruvian cuisine that fuses traditional seafood, vegetarian, and meat dishes with contemporary American ingredients and authentic spices. To warm up taste buds for two varieties of ceviche that each build on foundations of fresh sea bass, chefs prep creative apps such as the papa rellena, which features potatoes scrubbed free of their tiny plastic lips and stuffed with seasoned beef, tomatoes, and raisins, all drenched in a spicy sauce.

They keep the stovetop warm during breakfast, lunch, and evening cocktail hours, when the bar pours out the eatery's namesake beverage—the pisco sour, a complex Peruvian blend of grape brandy, egg whites, and citrus. The buzzing dining room frequently welcomes a rotating variety of live entertainment, such as hip-hop, techno, and merengue music.

The food at his place is excellent! The Pisco Sour sampler (first item on the left side of the menu) is very good, and enough for a meal ($8.99). I also enjoy ordering Mar y Tierra which is Surf and Turf meal because it is a very flavorful dish, However, Lately they have cut down on the number of shrimp and oysters on the shell (it used to be 6 pieces or so). I still recommend this restaurant to people I know.

If I could check all four suggestions as to what improve at this restaurant I would. Starting off with the service. We were not greeted at the door. We were seated and had to wait 10 minutes for water or menu. After we were given the menu we had to call over the waitress after 20 minutes of waiting. This was not the end of our subpar service, but I will move on to the food portion. The calamari was overcooked in the appetizer. After a long wait I was told the grill was broken. The seafood in my dish was chewy and overcooked. Our other dish was OK. The ambiance was ok if you like eating in the middle of a dance club. The music was too loud and the bathroom was not kept to adequate standards.

Service was very substandard. Finished beer, never approached to get another, in fact, waitress didnt ask anyone at table for drinks after initial service of them, which took a long time, just to get a beer. Place was nearly empty additionally, so waitress could have easilly been more attentive Food for party came out in waves, half of us eating when others still waiting. Shrimp in dish was not shelled completely, so was picking out of mouth. Overall disappointing experience.

It was a very warm day and there was no air conditioning. Also one meal was great(beef) and the other meal was unsatisfactory(chicken-the chicken was cut so there was hardly and meat in my portion.)
