About The Fat Shack DU

Bagel shops tend to close early; after all, they focus on breakfast and lunch. But on a college campus, bagel shops aren't going to help students with late-night cravings after an evening of studying, writing papers, or playing weekend parcheesi and horseshoes. Enter Fat Shack. Started in February 2010 in New Jersey, the original Fat Shack shared space with a bagel shop near campus, opening after the bagel shop had closed and stuffing students with fries, chicken fingers, and other fried fare well into the wee hours—there's nothing healthy to be found on the menu, but there's plenty satisfying. The concept was a hit, and soon Fat Shack had popped up in Colorado, this time in spaces it could call its own. It's since been featured on the Travel Channel's Food Paradise. And as for that original store in New Jersey? After a hiatus, it's back sharing space with a bagel shop, bringing delectable sandwiches such as the original Fat Shack, a cheesesteak with chicken fingers, jalapeƱo poppers, mozzarella sticks, french fries, onion rings, and a choice of sauce.

Decent food. Forgot part of our order though. Soda machines weren't working. Place was pretty dirty. Floor headed back to the restroom was slippery/grease covered.
