My certificate was not accepted by many vendors at the market. Also, the day I went, there were very few vendors there as well.

I would never get the groupon for the arket again. We went to buy veggies and other locally grow products. We get there can only use the coupons a few items. Every one did not take them and when they did they complained bout how they are not making money on this. We did buy other items but we wouldn't go again just because I think they were rude about it.

When i went to use groupons, only one vendor there and of course could not redeem coupon for vouchers because manager not there. returned next saturday, past deadline, and talked to very MEAN market manager which called me a liar for not coming before deadline. explained previous week and FINALLY received vouchers. many vendors did not accept vouchers and/or limited stuff. Some said they weren't organized early in the day to accept vouchers. vendors must not make enough money on the groupon deal you have set up. why do vendors only get 40% when they grow the food?

Last year, it was in a better location, a little more event-like, with music, and more plesant people/vendors offering samples, etc. I bought a lot last year, from wine to fruit, to maple syrup, etc. This year, it was like going to a bunch of "off the side of the road stands," not well laid out or organized. Moreover, most of the stands DID NOT ACCEPT any of the Groupon Dollars, and those that did added an extra cost to the purchase if you wanted to actually get something edible, or limited their use to old fruit/produce that they just wanted to get rid of. I couldn't even find one thing I wanted to just spend the bucks on toget rid of them. Neither did my sister. SO, I am still holding $20 of useless groupon bucks. Big waste of my time -- went to Wegman's instead -- they get locally-grown produce, too, that looked a lot better, and was for sale at a better price. I like supporting the local growers, but what they were offering did not look worth the prices they were charging. I mean -- fresh dark bing cherries? Those have been in a cooler someplace for a long time, and were soft. They are out of season locally, and were not fresh market quality. ARRGH!

More than half of the vendors won't accept the Groupons at their stands. The ones that will, will accept them on only certain items, like vegetables, but not fruit. Or just beans and watermelons. If what you can buy is that limited, it should state that in the offer. I would not have bought it.

First off, I LOVE groupon/coupon-type deals, as do many of my contemporaries. The problem that I had at the Lancaster Market is that the merchants either (1) would not honor the Groupon at all, (sausage vendor) or (2) would only allow me to use my groupon for certain, low overhead items (plants, not jams).
