Calabrone's, Mulvane

Calabrone's isn't Amy Houston's first restaurant, though it's similar in many ways. Amy closed the first eatery she ever opened as she battled with cancer. After her victory in 2010, though, she found herself with a new outlook on life, and the urge to bring that transformation to her own eatery. So, phoenix-like, what was once Amy's PIzza Place became Calabrone's, an Italian restaurant with an expanded menu and outlook. While staples of the old menu, such as the mozzarella cheese sticks carry over, newer items, such as chicken parmesan, define the entrees section. Amy also still makes pizzas, bringing a bit of new-world flair to old-world techniques with pies that include the cheeseburger.
