It's an OK place to get some practice with snowboarding/skiing. Not necessarily the best place to learn as it is very icy. Very economical and is the closest option in Des Moines.

The trip was really great, and the equipment was nice, but the scheduling was very inflexible. Only open one day of week this time of year, and basically told me what time we needed to come. Not flexible with scheduling, but the trip was gorgeous and nice, and we're glad we went.

When we first got there we were not impressed. The ski runs were very poorly covered and there was visible trash around the place. However, as the day progressed we had a good time especially on the tubes. Everybody was very nice. The park needs some major updates.
